About The Rugby Mum
From Sideline Shiver to Survival Guide
Hello there
I'm Allie, and like many of you, my weekends are defined by the muddy, exhilarating, and often freezing world of grassroots rugby.
- The Rugby Mum was born out of pure necessity. I spent my first season shivering through training sessions, watching my kit laundry pile up, and desperately trying to figure out the difference between a ruck and a maul! I realised that while there are plenty of sites for players and coaches, there wasn't one truly dedicated to the logistical hero of the team: the rugby parent.
This site is my love letter to every mum (and dad! and carer!) who spends hours on the touchline, drives miles for away games, and somehow manages to get a rugby kit clean again.
Our mission is simple:
More Cheering, Less Worrying!
We are here to make life easier, warmer, and more fun for every rugby parent.
We believe that supporting your child’s passion shouldn’t be a miserable experience. We focus on curating the best advice, sharing genuine survival tips, and sourcing practical, high-quality gear—from the boots your child needs to the coat you need.
We aim to be your trusted resource for:
- Sideline Survival: Tips for staying warm, organised, and energised.
- Gear Guidance: Honest reviews and recommendations for kit and equipment.
- Logistical Hacks: Advice on everything from nutrition to travel and laundry.
How We Choose Our Products (Affiliate Disclosure)
To keep The Rugby Mum running and the advice flowing, we partner with leading sports retailers and rugby brands.
Transparency is key.
When you click on a product link on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from that retailer.
Important points about our recommendations:
1. We only recommend products we genuinely researched and believe are the best for the rugby environment, regardless of the commission rate.
2. It Costs You Nothing Extra: The price you pay is exactly the same as if you went directly to the retailer's site.
3. We are Independent: Our opinions are always our own, focused purely on the benefit to the Rugby Mum community.
Your support helps us continue to create free, useful content for the rugby community across the UK! Thank you for being part of the Rugby Mum community.
